Spencer F. Owen

Spencer’s practice incorporates all aspects of trademark law, including global clearance, prosecution, licensing, and policing. He has a wide array of experience in numerous industries, but especially alcoholic beverages, apparel, software technology, and life sciences.

Spencer earned his law degree from the University of Oregon, where he was also awarded a certificate of specialization in Intellectual Property. During law school he served as president of the Moot Court Board and the student intellectual property interest group. In addition to his student groups, Spencer worked as a research assistant on issues related to alternative dispute resolution, clerked for the Honorable Judge Suzanne Chanti in the Lane County Circuit Court, and served as a teaching assistant for first year Constitutional Law students.
