Meet the Team

Phil is a Partner in the firm’s San Diego office and has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star and by the World Trademark Review’s WTR 1000 for his proactive and effective global prosecution and enforcement strategy for the world’s most well-known brands. His practice includes all aspects of trademark law, including global trademark clearance, prosecution, enforcement, litigation, and management for clients in a wide range of industries including cutting-edge companies in the SAAS and artificial intelligence (AI) space, video game companies, multinational media and entertainment conglomerates, medical and pharmaceutical companies, and multinational apparel and footwear companies. Phil also has substantial experience in both international and domestic trademark litigation and regularly handles matters pertaining to IP licensing, IP acquisitions and divestitures, UDRP proceedings, and contract disputes.

During law school, Phil was a member of the San Diego Law Review and Appellate Moot Court Board, and graduated with a concentration in Intellectual Property. Phil is fluent in Korean and is a former junior rock climbing champion of South Korea.
